Deepa Bhushan: Head - Curriculum
Deepa Bhushan comes with thirteen years of experience in the field of education. Her career encompasses eight years in the field of teaching and five years of developing quality curriculum across all grades. She started working with KKEL as a Curriculum Developer, and later moved on to head the Primary Department. Her unique insight on the role of teachers as facilitators, coupled with her ability to design a curriculum that actually helps students to learn in the truest sense of the term, led to her being the division head of the department.
Deepa has played a fundamental role in conceptualizing and designing a curriculum that best caters to the students’ needs and develops them as thinking, feeling and reciprocating human beings rather than rote learners, equipped with the requisite skills of learning for life. With the KKEL vision and philosophy of education that stems from the ‘micro’ to the ‘macro’, Deepa has played a crucial role in developing classroom strategies to enhance the teaching – learning process. Her qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Education, a diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and an Advanced Training in Curriculum Designing from Australia.
Samina Kuwajerwala: Head - Marketing & Branding and Head - Organizational Development
Samina’s role is to align the company’s vision and strategies into organization wide initiatives and raise awareness of KKEL and its brands in India and internationally. She holds a double Graduate Degree, an MBA from S.P. Jain and a Master’s degree in Human Psychology. She brings with her 10 years of experience in marketing and communications in addition to varied experience in training and development. Her current primary focus is to support KKEL in its vision of growth and as a thought leader in the education sector. In terms of departmental functions, she looks into Marketing, Internal and External Communications, Synergetic Alliances and HR.
Bhawani Sinha: Head - Research
Bhawani is responsible for continually reviewing and identifying innovative and ground breaking ideas that can effectively be translated into practical education methodology for both students and teachers.
Bhawani was a part of the KKEL Curriculum Team for a substantial number of years, planning and implementing primary school and middle school programmes.
She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Management. She is a qualified trainer for NABET (Quality Council of India) and is also an IRCA certificated Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 : 2000. Apart from this, Bhawani gained experience working with international schools in developing their curriculum plans and strategies. She has also had a stint with teaching and taught Language A1 at the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Subsequently, she headed the M-Learning zone at EnableM Technologies, pioneers in the field of mobile learning
Fazela Bhagchandani - Head – Corporate Services
As the Head for Corporate Services, Fazela is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive support services to schools as well as corporate offices. This entails providing assistance in all areas ranging from setting up of schools, i.e. planning, infrastructure, administration etc., to managing special events and concerts. As the head of the Special Projects team, her role is to conceptualize, manage and lead to fruitiation of various events such as the Annual Day and Sports Day concerts conducted in all the schools (Kangaroo Kids and Billabong High). Equipped with a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education, Fazela comes with twelve years of experience in the field of education. At KKEL, she has steadily climbed up the rungs from being a teacher, a curriculum developer to now heading Corporate Services.
